My Life and Prophecies – Jeane Dixon co-authored with Rene Noorbergen 1969

Amazon Synopsis: Jean Dixon was one of the best-known American astrologers and psychics of the 20th century, due to her syndicated newspaper astrology column, and some well-publicized predictions and a best-selling biography. She is best known for allegedly predicting the assassination of President John F. Kennedy four years before he was elected.

In the May 13, 1956, issue of Parade Magazine she wrote that the 1960 presidential election would be "dominated by labor and won by a Democrat" who would then go on to "be assassinated or die in office though not necessarily in his first term." Five years later Jeane Dixon was addressing a meeting in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles when questioned if Robert Kennedy would ever become President. 'No,' she had answered. 'He will never become President of the United States because of a tragedy right here in this hotel.' A week later Robert Kennedy did win the California Democratic primary and he had just finished addressing a victory rally at the Ambassador Hotel's ballroom when he was shot. He died the following day.

Also in January 1942 Dixon had warned the Hollywood film actress Carole Lombard (married to Clark Gable at the time) that it would be dangerous for her to travel by plane within the next six weeks. Lombard, scheduled to appear at a War Bond rally did not heed Dixon's warning, she died in an airplane crash within three days of the warning.

President Richard Nixon referred to Jean Dixon as "the soothsayer" and ordered preparations for a terrorist attack that Dixon had predicted, of course the prediction did not come true during Nixon's term. She was also one of several astrologers who gave advice to Nancy Reagan during the presidency of Ronald Reagan. She died of cardiac arrest in Washington, D.C. on January 25, 1997, at the age of 93.

Nostradamus: The Man Who Saw Through Time – Lee McCann 2008

Book Description: "Interest in Nostradamus goes through cycles, usually coinciding with periods of uncertainty and conflict. At the beginning of World War II people turned to Nostradamus for clues as to how and when that conflict would be resolved, and to look for indications that somehow he had prophesized it. Some used Nostradamus for propaganda, or profit, or publicity. Of course, this was also the case after the attacks of September 11th, 2001.

This book, published in the early days of World War II, is partially a biography of Nostradamus, partially a historical novelization of incidents in his life, and an attempt to associate his predictions with historical and future events. McCann is at his best in the former parts of the book. He immerses us in the life and times of Nostradamus. Although many of the episodes are fictionalized, they make pleasant reading and appear to be historically accurate. The attempts to match Notradamus' predictions with historical events of the rennaissance are for the most part very well reasoned, and range from plausible to 'hmmm...'.

The book concludes with a rather long section bearing on events of the twentieth century. This part feels tacked on, as if the publisher was eager to get a 'tie in' to current events. McCann hypothesized that the war would continue until late in the forties, and would end because of the restoration of the French monarchy, specifically that a pretender to the throne would be crowned as Henry the Fifth. Naturally, this falls far short of the mark, but it creates perspective for current and future attempts to make specific predictions based on the cryptic quatrains." (Quote from sacred-texts.com)

Psychic Healers - David St. Clair 1974

Psychic: My Life in Two Worlds – Sylvia Browne 2010

Amazon Synopsis: At the age of seventy-three, New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Browne is ready to tell the whole story of her extraordinary life. In Psychic, we meet the woman behind the public figure: from the child receiving her first visits from the spirit world to the teenager doubting her own sanity; from the new mother living through staggering highs and lows to the burgeoning celebrity, and, ultimately, the successful, happily married woman she is today. Filled with never-before-told stories and otherworldly encounters, Psychic is a riveting account of how Sylvia Shoemaker, a traditional girl from Missouri, became world-famous psychic Sylvia Browne.

Nothing is off-limits. Sylvia tells the little-known truths behind her three failed marriages—including physical abuse, bankruptcy, and legal troubles—and the financial and emotional damage they wreaked. She revisits her personal demons and describes her physical challenges, including her relatively recent discovery that she'd suddenly gone blind in one eye. And then there is the greatest surprise of all: Sylvia tells how, once she had reached her seventies, and believed her romantic life was over, the real Mr. Right finally—impossibly—showed up.

While the press has freely, often bitterly, weighed in on Sylvia's most painful stories, she has remained quiet—until now. Unlike any other book Sylvia has written, Psychic reaches deep beneath the surface of her life, including professional and personal experiences that she is sharing publicly for the first time. With candor, warmth, and a great deal of humor, Sylvia Browne has written the singularly captivating tale of a life lived in two worlds, filled equally with harsh earthly realities and mesmerizing spiritual insights.

The Truth About Psychics – What’s Real, What’s not, and How to Tell the Difference – Sylvia Browne with Lindsay Harrison 2009

Amazon Synopsis: HOW DO PSYCHIC ABILITIES WORK . . . AND HOW CAN YOU TELL IF THEY’RE REAL?

Celebrity psychic and #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Browne takes a fascinating look into the history of psychics dating from biblical times as she reveals the truth about spiritual phenomena like witches, talking boards, angels, astral projection, and more. Did you know . . .

• If someone tells you that an object is “haunted,” they are probably fooling you. Objects can retain impressions of prior owners, but they don’t contain the spirits of those on the Other Side.

• If you get rid of one item in your house, it should be the talking board. Using one is like leaving your front door unlocked, inviting anyone (good or evil) to waltz right in

• Sylvia didn’t believe in “living ghosts” until she had a terrifying experience that changed her mind. The phenomenon called a doppelgänger happened to her more than forty years ago.

• It’s possible to tell if a psychic is giving you a good reading or just following a script. A few key phrases can give away a fake.

Through a wealth of personal stories and research into the lives of great psychics, Sylvia offers solid advice on how to put valid procedures to use and ignore the rest. The Secret History of Psychics explains how you can spot a fraud and shows you how to tap into your own legitimate psychic skills!

Voyage to the New World – Ramtha with Douglas James Mahr 1987

Amazon Synopsis: My name is Ramtha the Enlightened One. I am a human being who once lived here and have a very dynamic story to tell. I am here to lead my people from being asleep to waking up and doing something with this life that is original, making known the unknown, and marching out of this abyss into greatness.

These times are the greatest of all times in your recorded history. Though they are difficult and challenging times, you chose to live here during this time for the purpose of the fulfillment that it would bring you.

All of you have been promised for ever so long that you would see God in your lifetime, yet lifetime after lifetime you never allowed yourselves to see it. In this lifetime most of you will, indeed.

You will see a magnificent kingdom emerge here, and civilizations will come forth that you had not even the slightest notion existed. A new wind will blow, and love, peace, and joy in being will grace this blessed place, the emerald of your universe and the home of God.

There is no redemption for mankind other than to realize their divinity. You are the seeds of this understanding. Whatever you think, whatever you come to realize, lifts and expands consciousness everywhere. When you live what you have come to understand wholly for the good of your own purposeful life, you allow others to see in you a greater thought process, a grander understanding, a more purposeful existence than what they see all around them. Lifting and broadening your own consciousness through knowledge is enlightenment. It is not spiritual rituals. It is understanding.
