Birthdate: March 16, 1907 - July 4, 1982
Hugh Lynn Cayce was the eldest son of Edgar and Gertrude Cayce and the president of the Association for Research and Enlightenment for many years.
He attended Norfolk Business College and got a Degree from Washington and Lee University. After graduation, he worked for the ARE in the 1930s, and left to serve in World War II.
Edgar Cayce passed on while Hugh Lynn was away and when he returned he found his father’s business suffering, as its chief income had been from the readings given by Edgar. Hugh Lynn set about finding ways to utilize the archive of past readings. With workers and volunteers, he set about indexing and cross-referencing the readings, then began putting together publications for sale, on particular topics mentioned in the readings.
Most of the books he authored were written after he retired in 1976, following a heart attack.

Thousands of people relied on him for insights into their physical and emotional health, spiritual questions, business prospects, and dreams. His writings still inform us today. Cayce's readings were stunningly accurate -- about 85 percent of them hit the mark. But some cases seemed to be beyond his abilities. Why did his powers fail him at times -- if they in fact did?
